1. Is CrossFit for everyone? Or just former super-athletes?

CrossFit is for everyone! It might seem intimidating to see someone running with a 100 pound sandbag on their shoulder or throwing a 50 pound ball up against a wall 400 times but CrossFit is all about meeting you where you are. We scale workouts for your fitness level–and then push you just a bit. No matter your fitness level, CrossFit is for you!

2. Isn’t CrossFit kind of expensive?

Isn’t a nursing home kind of expensive?

Seriously, we believe our bodies can and should be strong for your entire life. We believe the CrossFit methodology can get you strong and keep you there. Because of our attentive coaches, small classes and attention to good form and correct posture, we charge more than your average get-on-our-treadmill-and-watch-a-movie gym but less than a come-to-your-house personal trainer.

Email us to schedule a free intro class and we can talk pricing and plans together.

3. I’m a girl. Am I going to get so bulky I could win the Miss Universe pageant?

No. CrossFit is not about bulking up or getting big muscles. CrossFit is about getting strong.  (Unless you want to win the Miss Universe pageant. We might be able to help.)

4. I’m nervous about being in a class with lots of really fit and strong people. Will someone hold my hand?

Figuratively, yes. Our coaches are attentive and will work with you to help you succeed at every workout. You’ll also find the rest of the folks in your class want to see your nail the workout, too. In fact, your class just might start to feel like family.

5. What is a WOD?

WOD stands for Workout Of the Day. Each day we have a new workout. We believe workouts should be constantly varied, high intensity and include functional movements to help you be at your best.

Our latest WODs will be posted here.

6. What about my kids? Can I bring them?

We don’t have a babysitters but we do have a nice little room with some toys along with a desk for your big kids to do homework. We’d love to have your kids see your commitment to health and watch you get fit! See our Safe Child Policy here.

7. Will you help me with my diet, too?

We certainly believe the way you eat can hinder or enhance what you do in CrossFit. We do not ascribe to or prescribe a certain “CrossFit BridgeMill approved” diet, but we will recommend and give resources to help you understand how to nourish your body.

8. What are all those crazy acronyms and girl names I keep hearing about?

What? Like AMRAP? RX? Nancy? Fran?

Don’t worry. You don’t need to know a secret handshake to do CrossFit. You’ll learn the meanings and words as you start working out. But if you really wanna know, check out this Abbreviation Guide.

9. Do I get a free T-shirt?

Sure. Why not? Join our little CrossFit family and we’ll throw in a free T-shirt.

10. Is CrossFit a cult?

Yes. Yes, it is.

(OK. It’s not really. But yeah, it kinda is.)
